Barbaros Banko Reef

This expansive reef, the largest diving point in Kuşadası, provides ample opportunities for divers of all levels. You can begin at a shallow depth of 3 meters, or start at 7 meters where a small wall leads down to 10 meters. From there, follow the rocks south, keeping them on your right, until you reach a grassy area. The depth here can extend to 35 meters, offering a diverse and vibrant underwater environment filled with a beautiful array of fish species. The reef is a great spot for both beginner and advanced divers, allowing for exploration at various depths and offering a safe and enjoyable dive experience for all skill levels.

Adabanko Reef

Adabanko is one of the most famous dive reefs in Kuşadası, located 1.5 to 2 kilometers offshore. The dive starts at a depth of 5 meters and heads north to the edge of the reef, allowing a free descent to 15 meters. You can dive further to a maximum depth of 40 meters. Keep the reef on your left and swim west until you reach a buoy anchored at around 15 to 16 meters. Between the rocks, warm water flows from the ground. Since Adabanko is in open water, it attracts various marine life like amberjacks, barracudas, and lionfish, making it a top spot for divers.

Adakule Cave

There are two caves to explore here. The first cave is located at a depth of 9 meters and stretches for around 19 meters. At the end of the cave, you can easily look up and see the surface of the water, providing a fascinating view of the world above. The second cave is larger and wider, offering more space to explore and discover. With a bit of luck, you might even spot a seal inside, which adds an exciting element to your dive. Both caves offer a thrilling experience for divers, contributing to the uniqueness of the site and making it an unforgettable adventure for those who seek to explore its underwater wonders.

Neopolis A300 Airbus Wreck

The Neopolis A300 Airbus is one of the most famous dive sites in Kuşadası, attracting divers from around the world to witness this incredible aircraft. Unlike a real wreck, the plane was grounded in 2016 as a tourist attraction for divers, and at the time, it was the largest plane wreck for diving globally. It rests between 16 and 22 meters, with a reference line guiding divers down to 16 meters. The sandy bottom requires careful finning, and though the rear broke off in 2017, this allows more light to enter the aircraft. While the cargo plane no longer has seats, the cockpit and pilot seats remain intact, preserving much of its character.

Club Med Reef

The depth starts at 12 meters and goes up to 35 meters, making it an easy dive point and an excellent spot for drift diving. On both the right and left sides, there is mostly grass, with hundreds of barracudas often swimming above it. The rocky area stretches over 600 meters, starting at 5 meters wide and expanding to 50 meters as you go deeper to the west. At depths of 20 to 30 meters, there’s a good chance of spotting a caretta turtle. This is a perfect site for underwater photographers due to the incredible abundance of marine life in this vibrant and beautiful environment.

Shell Reef

The depth here starts at 23 meters, making this dive site particularly well-suited for nitrox diving. The seabed is primarily covered in sand, and there are three long rocks that feature a narrow yet extended cavity that stretches for about 50 meters. Inside this cavity, you’ll find thousands of rockfish and lobsters, creating a vibrant and lively underwater scene. Surprisingly, there is also an old moped resting on the bottom, which adds a quirky and unexpected element to the dive, making it even more memorable for divers who visit this site.

Piper PA32 Airplane Wreck

This historic wreck has been resting at its current location since 1979, making it a unique underwater site with a rich history. On July 30 of that year, a Piper PA32 aircraft tragically crashed into the sea just off the coast of Kuşadası, near the Milli Park side. Remarkably, the sole person aboard the plane was able to escape without injury. Although some parts of the aircraft have been recovered over the years, the main wreck remains submerged, offering a fascinating and eerie dive experience. Divers who visit this site can explore a piece of history while discovering the mysteries hidden beneath the waves.
